Our Greatest Need
Our City Heights Family Health Center is literally bursting at the seams! Since the clinic first opened in 2004, it has experienced growth of over 394%. In 2004, we served 1,868 patients and that number grew to well over 6,000 by 2007. Total patient visits also grew from just under 4,000 to 15,544 in the same period. Soon we will have to turn patients away because we are literally out of space, so we must move!
To ensure continued care for the families in need of healthcare in this community, we have secured a larger building just one block from the current location, however now the expensive task of renovating the space for patient care must commence. Please join us by making a contribution today.
The majority of the 132,218 persons residing in the City Heights Family Health Center’s service area suffer from substantial barriers to care like poverty, lack of formal education, cultural and linguistic isolation, social alienation and distrust of institutions.
The City Heights Family Health Center works to overcome these barriers and ensure that all our patient families receive the care they need to remain healthy and productive. Please help make the new expanded City Heights Family Health Center a reality by making your contribution now .
